John Holtrup Joins Galmont Consulting as New Practice Director

Chicago, IL (June, 2010) — Galmont Consulting, a Chicago-based technology consulting firm specializing in software quality assurance, testing and business analysis services, has hired John Holtrup as their new practice director of software quality assurance. Holtrup is a former vice president of CNA Financial.

A seasoned and talented technology industry expert, Holtrup brings more than 25 years of implementation and management experience across the entire software development life cycle to his new position.

At Galmont, Holtrup’s responsibilities will include helping clients significantly reduce the cost of best-in-class testing support without sending the work to far away shores. John is responsible for building Galmont’s Nearshore testing practice in Lexington, KY.  He will be hiring and training college graduates in partnership with the University of Kentucky to teach them to test software.  He is also responsible for crafting solutions based on client need and providing service delivery to key clients.

In addition to his time with CNA Financial, where he was responsible for leading large-scale teams in quality assurance and full lifecycle testing, Holtrup has also held positions with ABN AMRO (LaSalle Bank Corporation), Ernst & Young, and Central State Health & Welfare and Pension Funds and Electronic Data Systems.
