Bally Total Fitness Is Latest Client for Unstoppable Lexington, KY Center
Ever try using creative visualization to achieve a goal? Athletes often use it to see themselves fielding a fly ball with finesse or making a Heisman-worthy run to the end zone. You might use positive imagery to get through your next presentation or to find and fix a software bug.
Bally Total Fitness has put a new spin on this old motivational technique. Fitness fanatics and weekend warriors alike can now use a new app at Bally gyms to help them see what their bodies will look like after weight loss.
Galmont Consulting is proud to have performed all the quality assurance testing on this innovative new app along with two others, making the following possible:
- A digital 3-D muscular model that illustrates how a member’s workout routine will strengthen certain muscle groups and change their appearance.
- Interactive schedule boards that help members access class schedules and instructor bios lightning-fast.
- iPad-based enrollment software to help people become members faster than before.
It all happened at our rural testing center in Lexington, Kentucky. Since it launched, the strategic, cost-effective, onshore alternative to overseas software testing has been met with an overwhelming response from the business community. As a matter of fact, Bally is just the most recent in a series of marquee clients our Lexington facility has lined up for software quality assurance projects.
“In the 18 months since opening, our rural outsourcing center has attracted high-caliber U.S. companies, including NYSE Euronext, Chicago Mercantile Exchange, U.S. Cellular and recently, Bally Total Fitness because we offer a high-quality domestic solution that is competitively priced,” commented Jeri Smith, president and founder, Galmont Consulting. “We are on track to hire 90 employees within four years of opening, and we are proud to do our part in creating new U.S jobs.”
Indeed, the trend of onshoring is gaining momentum for these reasons and more. Along with creating jobs, it is simply the best strategy for delivering world-class software products and services. To learn more about this, read our whitepaper on the topic, Why Near Beats Far in Testing & SQA, Galmont’s Case for Nearshoring.
Until there’s an app for job creation — or software quality assurance — Galmont Consulting is proud to keep offering a stateside answer to the over-touted advantages of offshoring — specifically, a solution that is not only cost-effective, but also produces technically superior products.
